Mini's ethos is centered around small cars with go-kart-like handling. For 2024, fun remains a focus, evidenced by the return of an available manual transmission on several models. Furthermore, the reintroduction of the base Classic trim makes certain Mini cars and crossovers more attainable than 2023 models. Read on to see those details and other changes on the 2024 Mini lineup of cars, wagons, SUVs, and electrified models.

2024 Mini Hardtop: What’s New

The core Mini Hardtop model, available in two- and four-door body configurations, can again be ordered in entry-level Classic trim. The 2024 Mini Hardtop Classic is available in red, white, or black paint and comes equipped with features such as 15-inch wheels, leatherette interior upholstery, LED headlights, and an 8.8-inch infotainment touchscreen.

The basic 4-Door and sporty S 4-Door versions can now be ordered with a six-speed manual transmission after a hiatus. An automatic remains available.

2024 Mini Cooper SE: What’s New

A manual transmission remains unavailable in the 2024 Mini SE; a multigear transmission isn't necessary for this all-electric Mini. The sole change for the two-door Mini EV is the availability of an Upholstery package offered on the Signature trim. It allows for the selection of premium decorative dashboard inlays and seat coverings, the latter of which include quilted leather and checked cloth.

Keep in mind the next generation of the all-electric Mini should arrive soon. Prototypes (pictured) are already in testing. We now know that range on the next-gen Mini Cooper SE will max out at well over 200 miles, an enormous improvement over the current model's 114-mile range.
